Hello!

I'm Eszter Marie, a Hungarian-Danish illustrator specializing in editorial illustration, graphic design, packaging illustration, surface pattern, animation, brand identity, and fashion illustration.

My work combines striking, colorful imagery with a strong sense of cultural sensitivity and social awareness — shaped by my multicultural and trilingual background. I enjoy creating visual narratives that are both thoughtful and eye-catching, helping brands and publications connect with their audiences in meaningful ways.

As a freelance illustrator and designer, I've had the opportunity to collaborate with a range of clients across editorial, promotional, and packaging projects. One of my long-term collaborations includes working with the Danish pastry brand Lagkagehuset (known as Ole & Steen in the UK), creating illustrations that blend storytelling with visual impact.

I hold a BA in Communication Design from Design School Kolding and an MA in Illustration from the Arts University Bournemouth. My creative style draws inspiration from vintage fashion imagery, retro color palettes, and rich textures. While my roots are in traditional hand-painting and printing techniques, I primarily work digitally across formats such as 2D animation, brand visuals, and pattern design.

Curiosity and a love of travel fuel my creative practice, keeping it fresh, autonomous, and ever-evolving. I'm always eager to take on new challenges, push creative boundaries, and collaborate with forward-thinking clients and brands.
