Hello!

I'm Eszter Marie, a Hungarian-Danish illustrator with a focus on editorial, fashion, and branding. My work revolves around addressing important global issues through striking and colorful drawings. My multicultural and trilingual background greatly influences my perspective on the world, resulting in a strong presence of social awareness and cultural sensitivity in my creations.

Running my own freelance design company allows me to pursue topics of personal interest alongside commercial projects. I've had the privilege of illustrating for promotional materials and packaging, with a notable long-term client being the Danish pastry brand Lagkagehuset (also known as Ole & Steen in the UK).

I've always been committed to expanding my skill set and client base through academic study and research. My journey started with a BA in Communication Design from Design School Kolding and culminated in a Master of Arts in Illustration from the Arts University Bournemouth in the UK.

My distinctive contemporary style draws inspiration from vintage Vogue magazines, retro color palettes, and unique textures. While I rely on traditional hand-painting and printing techniques as a foundation, my work primarily takes on a digital form. This encompasses a wide range of mediums, including 2D animation, posters, books, editorial work, and pattern design.

My enthusiasm for travel and my insatiable curiosity drive me to maintain an autonomous and ever-evolving practice. I'm always on the lookout for new challenges and opportunities to push the boundaries of my creative expression.
